Canon has recently introduced one of its latest SLR camera called EOS 50D which has been designed to meet the demands and requirements of both professional and amateur photographers.
This device features a 15.1-megapixel CMOS sensor which can allow users to take high definition pictures. To complement this technology, the camera also provides DIGIC 4 Image Processor to make colors appear more realistic and vibrant.
To capture beautiful pictures, this device has been created with the most advanced technology which includes: 12800 ISO capability which allows photographers to take pictures in low-light environments; Lens Peripheral Illumination Correction to control the bright lights; Live View Function with Face Detection Technology; Automatic Image Correction settings which is ideal for novice users; High Definition Capability which allows people to view pictures on HD televisions; Noise Reduction Technology which removes unsightly white dots (this phenomenon happens when the surrounding is dimly-lighted); and 14-bit conversation for well-detailed images with smooth colors.
One of the most notable features is the 3-inch Clear View LCD monitor which consists of 920,000 dots. To make sure that the screen would be protected from various harsh elements, its surface has been covered with a special veneer which not only serves as a protection, but also effectively improves the viewing.
For image processing, the EOS 50D provides various programs such as auto white balance with image sensor; color temperature; and Type settings which include flash, custom, auto, cloudy, shady, white fluorescent light, tungsten light, daylight, and color temperature setting.
Other impressive features are the new DIGIC 4 Image Processor which provides faster image processing; High precision Sensors for precise capturing of pictures; recording media which include UDMA-compliant CF cards and CF Card Type I and II; and back up recording capability.
This camera is compatible with EF-S 18-55mm IS lens and EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens. Meanwhile, people can also use Canon EF lens mount for this model.
The Canon EOS 50D comes at a suggested retail price of $1399.
