Canon EOS 7D is a digital-SLR camera that features 18-megapixel CMOS sensor which can capture photos in high-resolution that will allow users to crop or enlarge images without having to lose any detail.
The high-resolution support is then partnered with DUAL DIGIC 4 Image Processor which is an image technology that supports impressive features such as Face Detection Live Mode, faster processing of data images, auto lighting optimizer, and full high-definition video recording.
To allow photographers to capture dramatic images even in low-light and bright-light condition, the SLR has a broad range of ISO settings. This technology is then complemented with low-noise, high-sensitivity optimization.
The SLR’s Light Source Detection (AF) can also compensate the focus by basing its adjustments to the artificial lighting sources.
Just like most high-end SLR cameras today, EOS 7D has a movie capability that has been designed to enhance image quality and support smooth frames and video clips. In addition, the video support also features a manual control of focus, exposure, and compatibility with more than 60 lenses (allowing photographers to have countless of depth-of-field options).
In terms of durability, this camera has been one of the top choices of professional photographers because of its strong magnesium chassis which is complemented with dust-, water-, and weather-proof design, while being lightweight.
And when it comes to shutter durability, it can support up to 150,000 cycles—quite impressive considering the fact that the camera has a shutter speed of almost 1/8000 per second.
Another impressive feature is the image technology that improves the image quality and optimizes exposure. In addition, the SLR has a metering sensor that features color measurement functions, thus allowing the camera to minimize focus and exposure errors caused by difficult lighting situations.
The viewfinder and LCD also features Dual Axis Electronic Level that projects tilt displays that will help people to achieve perfectly level shots. Other display options of the LCD includes spot metering, AF point expansion, AF points display, spot AF, etc.
