Korean technology giant Samsung recently unveiled its latest mobile phone called Omnia that features multimedia functions including an impressive built-in camera that will allow users to capture great pictures.
One of the main highlights of this handset is the built-in 5-megapixle camera that features multiple image technologies including auto focus for a sharper detail; Face Detection which automatically identifies and captures the face of individuals; and Smile Shot which automatically captures the smiling face of people.
Other features of the built-in camera are: Wide Dynamic Range for capturing wider angle, Multi-scene Mode for accommodating every environment and lighting condition, Digital Image Stabilization that will prevent blurry images, and video recording capability with editing tools.
With the growing popularity of web-enabled devices, Samsung also included Internet technologies that will allow users to browse through websites and manage their email accounts. The phone also uses HSDPA that will allow fast downloading of web pages. Meanwhile, to provide full Internet browsing experience, the smartphone can support portrait and landscape views, has zoom feature and auto reverse display, and provides optical mouse for easy web navigation.
This smartphone also uses Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional which can support “intelligent” and highly-interactive technologies that will meet the needs of mobile users and business travelers.
Omnia also features 3.2-inch widescreen LCD display that will provide people with large view for various multimedia functions. Another impressive feature of the LCD display is the Touch Sensitive Technology that will provide intuitive interface while supporting tactile feedback and on-screen QWERTY keypad.
The handset has 8GB internal and 16GB external memory which is expandable up to 16GB. With this storage technology, users can save more than 12,000 images (with 5-pixels), 8,000 MP3 songs, and 23 DVD-quality movie records.
Because this handset has also been designed to provide the needs of business travelers, Samsung included Windows MS Office and Document Viewfinder to this mobile device.
Other features of Omnia are: GPS and Navigation tools, Bluetooth Technology, multiple messaging capabilities, and video streaming capability.
