Electronic company 3K Computers recently unveiled its latest netbook called 3K RazorBook 400, which is specifically designed for students and people who are always on the go.
With just under 2 pounds, this ultra-lightweight gadget boasts a variety of features that will rival almost all netbooks out in the market today. But like most of the “small” computers in the market, it lacks versatility in the interface category, hosting only a 7-inch Widescreen Active Matrix TFT LCD display (800×480).
But 3K claimed that size is not the issue for the RazorBook 400. The company said that despite its relatively small size, the new gadget has an incredible power-saving capability (plus the ultra-lightweight and compact design) that can give users more time working outside without having to charge the battery every now and then. This feature is made available by the RazorBook’s Ingenic 400 MHz 32-Bit Single Core Processor that can operate with very low power consumption.
Another power-saving capability of the new gadget can be found in its Solid-State Drive memory, which offers users unmatched protection from shock and bumps while on the road. However, it only has 1GB of internal memory, which is far too small than those of its competitors.
Connectivity option is not an issue with the RazorBook 400. It has an integrated Wireless LAN connection and a built-in Ethernet 10/100 Mbps with RJ45 interface for the fast data sharing in the Internet. The gadget also has 3 USB 2.0 ports, Full-size keyboards, and high-definition stereo system so users can enjoy their music, videos, and share files while on the go.
The gadget can operate both Linux and Windows platforms and can open heavy data files like GNUMeric – Opens Microsoft, Excel, and PDF reader with ease. It is now available in electronic store for just $229.
