Acer has perfected the engineering principle that “design goes along with the object’s function” through the Acer Aspire Timeline Notebook, which is a technological craftsmanship at its best.
The Acer Aspire Timeline runs on either Intel® Centrino® 2 or Intel® Core™2 Duo SU9400 ultra low voltage processor. It can even run on Intel® Core™2 Solo SU3500 ultra-low energy consumption processor. The motherboard flexibility gives users more options to choose whether they will use it for games, web browsing, or heavy video editing.
The gadget has a built-in dual-channel DDR3 SDRAM slot for memory upgrade, which can support up to 4GB 1066MHz memory. The memory can still be upgraded to unprecedented 8GB of memory.
However, users may have to use a couple of soDIMM modules or a self contained interchangeable unit that requires 64 Bit OS.
It runs on Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium, so users will have no problem using the
Dual soDIMM modules.
Users can also choose on 160, 250, 320, and 500GB hard disk drive. In fact, they can even increase the hard disk space so long as they can afford it. An optional 80GB Solid State Drive is also available.
The Acer Timeline is also available in three screen sizes: The 13.3-inch HD (1366 x 768) pixel resolution with Super-slim design (model 3810T); the 14-inch HD (1366 x 768) with Super-slim design (model 4810T), and the 15.6-inch HD (1366 x 768) Super-slim design (model 5810T). All of the TFT LCD screen sizes host the high-definition CineCrystal™ LED-backlit technology with 16:9 ratio aspect.
Despite the ultra-sleek design of the Timeline notebook (24mm at the thinnest and rising just 5mm at the highest point), it is packed with all the tools the users need.
The gadget has a built-in Acer Crystal Eye webcam, a 5-in-1 card reader, HDMI-out, port and an integrated 8X DVD-Super Multi double-layer (except model 3810T) optical media drive, all of which are contain a brushed aluminum outer shell.
The notebook is also incredibly lightweight with only 3.5 lbs for the 13.3-inch model and 5.3 lbs for the 15.6-inch model. It also has a built-in 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N wireless, Mobile WiMAX™, and 3G WWAN for the fastest Internet connection while on the go.
