When someone speaks of IMOVIO, the first thing would come in to mind is ultra-mobility and pocket-sized digital mobile device. Recently, the company unveiled its latest pocket PC (if you may call it), the iKIT miniature computer device.
With its 2.8 QVGA LCD display, one might think that this “mini me” of sub category netbooks is just another novelty product designed to lure consumers with the promise of super ultra-portability.
But the company has taken it over the roof.
The new iKIT by IMOVIO is “almost” everything that a regular tech savvy would look for, but it doesn’t have a Word option, a standard application for people who love to post things in the Internet.
The device also has a Bluetooth option to enable users to share files easily.
On the other hand, the memory is also quite low with only 64MB RAM, a capacity which is commonly found on cell phones. The only thing that separates the two is that mobile phones can make voice calls and the miniaturized notebook can not. Meanwhile, one thing users can take advantage of is its expandable storage capacity that can be upgraded up to 8GB.
IMOVIO made it to the point that it includes a QWERTY keyboard for fast data input in the device. But the question is; what’s it for when you don’t have word option?
The company plans to slowly introduce this device in the market through network operators and other distributor channels that wanted to take the risk. And amazing as it may seem, the new iKIT has only one Internet connectivity option—WiFi.
It took the company more than two years to finally come up with a design and size “acceptable” to the market. The clamshell design is not even outstanding, but it will fit snugly in the users hands.
From the looks of it, the British company IMOVIO will showcase this product as an inexpensive alternative to other device such as the Asus Eee Pc series. The device will be fully available in the last quarter of the year at a suggested retail price of $161.

I don’t this will make it. 64mb is less than your average cell phone now and is too small to do anything with.
The fact that there is no word application makes it even worse as even if you could source one it ould most likely take up all space!
I guess there is the option of the expandable card but for this price I think there are better options on the market.
