Super Talent have launched a 256GB SSD (Solid State Drive) which they claim to be the thinnest of its kind ever released. They have called this revolutionary design the FSD56GC25H, not sure if that name will be remembered by many people. The impressive thing about this piece of hardware is that it only measures 12.55 mm. That’s much less than the standard 256GB SSD devices currently on the market. It makes use of a SATA-I interface and comply with industry standard form factor of 2.5 inches. They claim this has been possible by their own stacking technology, which has enabled them to fit 256GB of space into such a small casing.
Super Talent are a US based technology company specialising in memory devices such as SSD, DDR, DDR2, flash memory, mp3 drives and USB flash devices. For over 20 years they have been creating these products from their base in San Jose, California. Most people would not have heard of them before, but their founder Abraham Ma will be hoping this slim SSD product will grab people’s attention and bring them to the spot light in the technology industry.
Super Talent have created something different here which they should be applauded for, less really is more concerning this product. A massive 256GB of memory in a tiny case is quite an achievement, impressive at the very least. People will find the FSD56GC25H very handy, you can literally carry 256GB of memory in your pocket; imagine how easy it will be to take your wok home with you, or vice versa. It can also be used to extensively improve the amount of storage space at your disposal on your home computer or laptop with minimal space issues in your office or at home.
Consumers will be hoping Super Talent will release this product at a reasonable price, there’s no denying its storage space and innovative design which will appeal to a mass market and bring Super Talent the recognition they deserve.
