Computer maker Dell recently unveiled its latest product called Adamo notebook which is an ultra-portable computer that features impressive mobile technology and multimedia functions.
Adamo, which means “to fall in love with” in Latin, features a 13.4-inch screen display which has been designed for movie-lovers and hard-core gamers since it supports impressive video quality made possible by its High Definition Technology and 16:9 aspect ratio.
Adamo, with a depth of only .65-inch, is thinner than Apple Inc.’s MacBook Air and Hewlett-Packard Co.’s (HP) Voodoo Envy notebook. But despite this slim chassis, it features complete multimedia technology that will allow mobile consumers to maximize their work productivity anywhere they will go.
To protect the internal parts of the notebook, Dell uses a hard aluminum chassis. Meanwhile, the ultra-thin laptop only comes in two colors pearl and onyx which both come in lacquered surface that exudes elegance and modern design.
When tested, its battery system, which uses lithium polymer, can last approximately five hours (when fully-charged), which is relatively shorter than other high-performing (and very expensive) laptops that can last up to eight hours of continuous use.
Since the laptop is specifically designed for mobile and web-centric users, Dell provides multiple wireless communications including Bluetooth technology for fast digital transfer, Mobile Broadband2 (optional), RJ-45 port which is an 8-pin connector used to transmit data over telephone wires, and wireless-LAN for fast Internet connection.
To provide reliability, Adamo uses powerful Intel Core 2 Duo processor integrated with Centrino technology and DDR3 memory. With all these combined technologies, the portable computer can support media functions ideal for professional use.
According to Dell’s website, Adamo will come at a starting price of $1,999. At this price, the notebook will have features including 128GB solid state drive, 2GB 800MHz DDR3 dual-channel memory, and 1.2GHz Intel Core Duo processor. For those who want to have a more powerful laptop, they can avail added features that will make it more expensive (the price can reach as high as $2,699) but at least they will have Mobile Broadband 2 for Internet connection and more powerful processor.
