FLIR and Extech, two global leaders when it comes to thermal-sensor devices, has recently introduced its latest product called Extech i5 which is an infrared camera that has been designed to detect molds and insect infestation using thermal heat, making this device ideal for industrial buildings and offices.
One of the most notable features is the compact and lightweight design, weighing approximately 12 oz and measuring 8.8-inch, this particular infrared camera is the world’s smallest and lightest model available in the market today.
This infrared camera has been designed to detect moisture, mold build-up, and pest. Using high resolution thermal imaging, this device can also pinpoint faulty insulation system, insect and pest infestation, plumbing defects, leakage and seepage from roofs, and other structural deficiencies.
This device features 2.8-inch LCD screen display equipped with focus lens that will provide users with accurate view of any deficiency whatsoever. To complement this feature, the infrared camera has been designed to support JPEG images (users can store up to 1000 imagery) while providing 80 x 80 pixel resolutions, offering people with accurate representation.
This infrared camera features user-friendly control menu which include Quick Save button which allow users to playback images, Single Hand Menu Control, and front buttons for easy applications.
Meanwhile, to provide easy grip, the gadget has been ergonomically designed with a rugged handle to avoid slipping.
When fully-charged, this device can work up to three to four hours of continuous usage and requires approximately three hours of charging time to make this fully-charged.
The infrared camera also includes rechargeable Li-ion battery equipped with 100-240VAC charger/adapter; software; 512 MB miniSD card (with adaptor); hand strap; built-in lens shutter; and USB cable.
