Fujifilm recently unveiled its newest model of digital camera called FinePix F200EXR that features multiple image technology and media functions which allow people to capture great images.
One main highlight of this compact camera is the multiple “intelligent” technologies including Face Detection 3.0 which can detect up to 10 faces in any angle and capture these in clear and vivid images.
Another impressive feature is the five Film Stimulation Modes to accommodate different environments and lighting conditions, allowing users to capture professional-looking images.
To make images appear in vivid and bright colors, the camera has PROVIA Mode that picks up the natural tone of the subjects. This feature is integrated with Velvia Mode that improves the color saturation and sharpness of an image.
For those people who want to capture images in soft and fine colors, they can adjust the camera in ASTIA Mode.
Other color modes include sepia for warm brown tones and black and white setting for more dramatic quality.
Another impressive feature is the 28mm Wide Angle Lens equipped with CCD Shift Image Stabilization that prevents blurry images which often happens when the hands are shaky or when the camera is capturing a fast-motion scene.
With high speed continuous shooting mode, people can shoot up to 12 images (shooting fives frames every second) in one single press of a button. With this feature, users can have a wider selection of images and choose the best one among these.
For capturing close-ups and portraits, people can change the camera setting to “Super Intelligent Flash” that improves the sensitivity. This feature has been integrated with auto mode that highlights the subject by making the background appear brighter. Another feature to make portraits appear vivid is the Double Noise Reduction that works by softening the edges for a dramatic quality.
Other features of FinePix F200EXR are Red-eye correction, 5X Digital Zoom Technology, Cropping, Slideshow presentation and playback, multiple image viewing modes, xD/SD Compatible Slot, high definition capability, and widescreen LCD screen display for viewing images.

This is a promising camera but it is all about the new sensor. It is supposed to improve the performance of pixel binning for high ISO pictures. It is yet to be seen if it works out. “Real world” sample pictures have not impressed me but there arn’t alot of those available yet. You can go to f200exr.com for links to sample pictures, manuals, pamplet, review, where it is available now etc.
