Viable Company has recently introduced during the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) its latest wireless portable videophone which is designed specifically for people who have hearing impairment.

The VPAD features light displays which allow users to know if they have an incoming messages and calls, plus, it has Video Relay Service technology which allows easy translation of messages for those hearing impaired people.

Spot Satellite Messenger, the world’s first satellite courier, was recently introduced during the annual Consumer Electronic Show (CES).

This “intelligent’ device allows users to send messages by means of commercial satellite to notify other people of the exact location of a person who has been lost. This gadget is a cheaper alternative to the conventional but quite expensive devices such as cellphone-based GPS trackers, personal locator beacons, and satellite phones.

In theory with a big enough climber a human could be carried although it might be more difficult to find a use for this other than having alot of fun! In addition C-Bot uses a sensor technology for diagnostic tasks. The sensor emits ultra-sonic and gets information from specific ray reflection.

This is the ZPC-GX31, it’s basically a PC built into a normal sized keyboard, and in fact you probably wouldn’t even realize there was anything different about it unless someone pointed it out to you. It’s a novel idea, but it’s hard to say whether the idea will catch on or not. The fascinating thing is that they haven’t just pieced any old PC in there; it’s actually not a bad spec.
