South Korean technology companies have recently announced their plan to introduce their own tablet computers in an effort to compete with Apple’s iPad which is the most popular multi-media tablets today, according to AFP report.

LG Electronics has previously announced to release a tablet computer that will run on Google’s Android platform for a faster and more interactive processing.  According to company officials, this gadget will be introduced before December in an effort to meet the needs of shoppers during the holiday season.

Tablet computers are mobile gadgets that have multi-media features just like most smartphones.  However, these devices have bigger screens and use touchscreens or stylus pens rather than keyboards.

Aside from LG, SK Telecom said it has a device that would directly compete with the 9.7-inch iPad.  Called as the Galaxy Tab, this tablet PC is slightly smaller with its 7-inch screen and also feature touch-sensitive technology.

In an interview, SK spokesman Kim Dae-Woong said the company is preparing to introduce its new device in September, but added that it has not yet determined the exact date of release or pricing of the tablet PC.

The Panasonic Lumix FX700 is a 14.1-megapixel point-and-shoot camera that features intelligent technologies including motion detection complemented with optical image stabilizer that prevents camera shake caused by unsteady hands.

The camera also has a 5x optical zoom partnered with Sonic Speed AF that supports high-speed response that will allow users to capture fast-moving subjects without the hazy and undefined appearance.

Another notable feature is the F2.2 lens which is designed to shoot at higher shutter speed and 1.6x brighter compared to F2.8 lens, thus making it easier to capture impressive images even in low-light and other challenging situations.  And because the lens is 24mm ultra-wide-angle in design, photographers can enjoy about 213 percent larger viewing space than the 35mm version.

The camera, which has a 3-inch touchscreen LCD, has the ability to record high-definition video in 1920 x 1080.  These are the other features that allow the Lumix FX700 to capture great video recording: AF Tracking function that focuses on a subject; 5x Optical Zoom; Face Detection to enhance and focus a person’s face: Scene Selector to accommodate the lighting ambiance; and Dolby Digital Stereo Creator which complements the HD videos.

After Apple CEO Steve Jobs said that all smartphones suffer signal loss when held in a certain way, the executives of Blackberry maker Research in Motion (RIM) has released a statement criticizing its rival company for dragging their products.

“It is unacceptable that Apple is attempting to draw our company to its self-made debacle”, RIM chief executives Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis said in a statement.

Few days ago, Jobs defended his company’s newest product iPhone 4 from complaints about its signal loss by saying that all smartphones available in the market have similar reception problems.

According to some iPhone 4 users, gripping the lower left corner of the device, where the antenna is located, will result to a signal loss.

To demonstrate that other smartphones have the same signal difficulties, the Apple executive displayed a video showing that devices from RIM, Samsung, and HTC were losing signal when held in a certain way.

Apple even released an online page to demonstrate the company’s claims over the reception difficulty issue.

As the market is literally flooded with business laptops, HP ProBook 4520s may stand out from the rest with its sturdy and solid casing complemented with features aimed to maximize the work productivity of professionals who can also enjoy a wider computer screen display of 15.6-inch.

Technology giant Apple Inc. has sold 3 million of its newest touchscreen tablet computer iPad after it was introduced in the US market three months ago.  Meanwhile, the company is expecting the sales will continue to break record since the device is yet to be introduced in Singapore, Ireland, Hong Kong, Mexico, New Zealand, Belgium, and Luxembourg in July.

iPad allows users to do web surfing, read electronic books, watch video, listen to music, play games, and use other mutli-media features.

“The company is working hard to make this product available to these nine countries…we are aiming that this device will be in the hands of more people around the world”, Steve Jobs said Tuesday.

With the unprecedented popularity of iPad, Jobs said that Apple software developers have created more than 11,000 applications for this computer tablet.

Hello all,

The site is now about six months old and has went through alot of changes both in look and in structure. I have optimized the site in alot of ways to reduce load time to give the users a better experience. Just now we only have one post a day but soon we’ll be increasing this so you can visit the site multiple times a day. As you might know we prefer to give proper reviews of gadgets rather than a snippet of info from another site. I have noticed that we are starting to get some regular vistors, some who have subscribed to our feed and some who just browse. Just now we don’t really get alot of comments so if you are out there leave some comments to let us know whose reading.
