Polk Audio has recently introduced its latest device called Hit Master which is a speaker that has been specifically built to maximize the gaming experience of users who will enjoy a more vivid and detailed sounds.
When tested, this speaker has produced a deeper and richer sound compared to ordinary television speakers. Users can definitely notice that the device produces different layers of sound, thus making their gaming experience more realistic especially when their playing games which involve shooting and war.
In addition, hard-core gamers who enjoy music-based games such as Guitar Hero and Rock Band can also enjoy the richer sound of Hit Master.
Another notable feature of this speaker is its sturdy and well-built chassis. According to the company, the device’s outer covering is made of the same material which is used in most stage monitors. And to further improve the durability of the speaker, the chassis has metal caps that protect each corner and rubber pads on its bottom.
And despite that it has a sturdy chassis, the speaker is not too heavy and cumbersome. (As the device only measures 2.5 x 5.5-inch horns with two 1-inch tweeters surrounding a 6.5-inch woofer.)
However, Hit Master has one major downside: the dialogues can be extremely loud (louder than it is supposed to be). In addition to this, the speaker has no adjustment control (except volume) that will at least allow users to regulate the treble and bass (but in some circumstances, the lack of the control makes this speaker simple to use for some people).
This speaker can be purchased online and costs around $100 which may be considered as a bargain relative to its overall impressive feature.
Aside from games, Hit Master can also be used for music listening without ruining the vocals even if the sounds are loud. However, this speaker may not be ideal for lyrical and mellow songs. But overall, this device is worth the price.
