Hop-on, a company which is known for making low-cost mobile communication devices, has introduced its latest product called HOP1890 (also referred as ChitterChatter) which is a handset that is specially designed to meet the needs of older people and young children.
This mobile phone is made available in two designs. The first model features dual-band 850/1900MHz radio which is specifically made for US market. Meanwhile, the second model features 900/1800MHz bands radio which is for the European market.
One of the most impressive features of this device is the GPS technology which will allow users to know directions from their destination. Another advantage of this technology is that the users’ location can be easily pin-pointed in case there is an emergency. In case that people want to know the location of the phone’s user, they can simply use the Internet or any phone which features SMS capability, and in an instant, they will receive feedback.
The communication device also features battery system which has been designed to last for a long period of time. In standby mode, the cell phone can last for up 300 hours (more than 12 days) and can be used for about 300 minutes for non-stop calling.
Other notable features include big buttons for easy application; dedicated panic button in case of an emergency; large and “easy to read” text; wide screen display; and user-friendly menu system that will allow people to use the device with much ease.
With this device, children and older people can be safer since there is a panic button which is located on the back of the mobile phone. When pushed, there will be an operator who will stay in line until help arrives. With this impressive feature, many lives can be saved.
The HOP1890 comes at a suggested retail price of $329 and can be purchased from major electronic stores and online retail shops.
