HP Mini 311 is a netbook that features a high-definition 11.6-inch LCD screen that allows users to watch and stream videos, look at high-resolution photos, and enjoy web browsing.
As an ultra-portable computer, this HP netbook is extremely lightweight (only 3.26 lbs), thus making it ideal for students, writers, journalists, business travelers, and professionals who are always on the go.
The netbook, which comes in Windows XP Home Premium OS, has a built-in 1GB memory which can be upgraded to 3GB if users will choose Windows 7 Premium OS. In the addition, the portable computer can support up to 320BG hard drive or the more powerful solid state drive which comes in 80GB memory.
One of the most notable features of Mini 311 is the 1080 high-definition video playback which makes this netbook ideal for people who want to watch movies and stream online videos. Aside from this feature, the portable computer has a built-in HDMI and VGA ports that allow users to connect this device to a high-definition television or external monitor.
In terms of ergonomic design, this netbook boasts a keyboard which is 92 percent the size of those that are used in desktop computers. Aside from a comfortable typing, the netbook also has a highly-intuitive touchpad which is almost the size of a regular laptop’s.
Just like most mobile computers nowadays, Mini 311 has a built-in web camera for teleconferencing and chatting. And to make the communication more intimate with friends and families, the gadget uses Altec Lansing speakers which can support high-definition sounds.
The netbook, which is integrated with Wi-Fi Technology, also has several ports including an integrated 5-in-1 digital media card reader that allows users to transfer their photos from their cameras; Nvidia ION LE graphics card which can support high-definition videos; and an optional external Blu-ray 7 drive that supports Blu-ray movies.
However, one downside of Mini 311, which is commonly found in netbooks, is its lack of internal optical drive. Also, the BlueTooth feature of this HP netbook comes optional.
