Lenovo Ideapad Y430 is an ultra-portable laptop that features multimedia functions and wireless connectivity which can meet the needs of mobile and web-centric consumers.
This computer features a portable size without compromising the display panel unlike netbook models which have limited screen size. With a widescreen that measures 14.1-inch, users can enjoy watching movies and full web browsing. Because the screen has also been designed to support 1280×800-resolution images, wide viewing angles, and high contrast ratio, users can enjoy high definition pictures.
One of the most impressive security features is the VeriFace Recognition III software which allows users to log in to Ideapad Y430 with the use of their face. After confirming the user’s face, he/she can already access the system. With this impressive technology, people can protect their sensitive data and files from unauthorized access without the need of using a password.
To provide fast and reliable performance, this notebook uses Intel Centrino 2 integrated with Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 CPU and P45 Express chipset. With all these combined technologies, users can simultaneously run all applications without experiencing sluggish performance. Because it supports 2GB of DDR2 RAM, Ideapad Y430 can accommodate NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS graphics and Windows Vista Home Premium.
Another notable feature is the intuitive interface including full-sized keyboard that has been designed to provide the most convenient usage since the Control and Delete keys are placed in a position where users can type more comfortably. To complement this keyboard design, the portable computer also features a touchpad that provides quick touch-response and accuracy, meanwhile, its right and left buttons require slight press for easy navigation.
To provide the needs of web-centric and mobile users, the laptop has 802.11n Wi-Fi technology and Bluetooth connectivity for fast and wireless transfer of digital files.

According to Lenovo, the Ideapad Y430 will come at a starting price of $1499. Meanwhile, there will be an added fee if consumers will avail some optional features of this portable computer.
