Mio Technology Corporation, the world’s leading manufacturer of navigation devices, introduced it latest product called Mio DigiWalker C720t, a compact device which features GPS navigation technology and digital entertainment tools to make traveling more exciting and much easier.
This portable device features a widescreen display which allows users to see the places and directions more accurate. Another helpful feature to assist people on how they can reach their destination is the splitscreen interface where pertinent information regarding the places they are inquiring about is automatically shown. This navigation tool is built to accommodate more than 12 million location points covering the US, Canada, and three major cities in Mexico.
With high sensitivity Traffic Message Center (TMC) receiver, the Mio C720t allows pertinent information regarding the traffic conditions of places covered by the device. With this feature, users can be updated on places where there is heavy traffic, accident such as flooding and other disaster, and temporary route. This traffic information service is free of charge for the first three months.
The annual cost of traffic update service is priced at $60. This navigation tools requires support which can be mounted on cars’ electrical port and a wire antenna which is attached to the front window using suction cups. (All these added accessories are included upon purchase of the device.)
Another feature is the 2-megapixel digital camera which allows users to take pictures. This does not only serve as an entertainment feature, but can also assist people to locate their destinations using Geotag. With this technology, users can easily navigate any site.
The navigation device is made to support Bluetooth technology and multi-media entertainment features including video and music player. The only drawback of this navigation device is that the traffic controls are too small to operate and the text is a little bit hard to read since it is too small.
The Mio DigiWalker C720T comes at a retail price of $499.
