Micro Star International (MSI) recently unveiled the very first notebook that can operate in both Solid State Drive and Hard Disc Drive at the same time. This capability has taken the new U115 Hybrid on top of the computing world. MSI holds the exclusivity for its Hybrid Storage Technology.
The company has designed the new U115 to run primarily on SSD. This makes the new notebook more hazard-free since the drive can offer its users shock-absorbing capability, not to mention the high-speed operating function since there’s no need for disk reading. Users also have the option of store programs for faster speed while having the HDD as file storage. It’s virtually speed and versatility on the go.
Another amazing thing about this device is its battery saving capability. This is mainly because of the “Eco on Mode”, switching all functions of the computer to the SSD options. However, the company failed to mention in their website how many hours will the battery run on SSD.
Also, the ergonomics in the design of the keyboard is simply outstanding. It has the right fit for every hand size, while keeping the comfortable feel while working for long hours. The touch pad is also a glide away, which makes everything in reach without that much strain on the hands.
With a 10-inch, 1024×600 pixel LCD screen, users are treated to a whole new experience in the notebook design. Unlike its competitors, the new U115 can display the whole internet page not matter how big the file is.
Together with the battery, the device on weighs less than 1 kilo. This is good especially for people who always travel with their notebooks.
The U115 host an Atom™ Processor tagged with the Intel® Menlow Platform for speed in using the internet. This also allows users to open more windows, even video streaming, without disrupting the computing function that they desire.
Like most of the notebooks in the market, the U115 is retrofitted with a high-resolution camera, and 2 channel speakers and a microphone for a quick video conference anytime, anywhere.
