Nokia, the world’s leading maker of mobile communication devices, has introduced its limited edition of cell phone which is called Nokia 8800 Sirocco.
This sliding phone features a screen display which support images with 262,144 colors and 208 x 208 resolutions. This feature is complemented by 5-way navigation key which allows users to easily perform various applications.
One of the most impressive features is the multi-media functions. This mobile phone has a 2-megapixel built-in camera which has been designed to capture images that have 1600 x 1200 pixel resolution, providing users with high-quality, well-detailed, and realistic pictures. The good thing about its imaging feature is that it can support video streaming and recording.
Another media function of this mobile device is the audio system which includes FM radio tuner and digital music player which has been designed to support various formats including MP3, MP4, eAAC, eAAC+, ACC, and WMA.
The Nokia 8800 Sirocco provides a wide array of connectivity which includes BlueTooth Technology, PC compatibility, and Remote Over-the-Air connection. Meanwhile, the mobile phone has also been designed to support email since it features technology which can support protocols including APOP, POP3, IMAP4, and SMTP.
This model boasts a wide list of ring tones which have been created by composer Brian Eno who was renowned for his innovative music and compositions.
The phone’s voice features are hands-free speaker and voice commands capability.
Other features are: information management which include alarm clock, calendar, stopwatch, and calculator; call features such as conference call, automatic redialling, speed dialling, call waiting, call timer, call hold, and call divert; and multimedia messaging capability which include IMPS instant messaging, MMS, and SMS (the phone is designed to allow users to send messages in 47 languages).
In terms of physical features, this mobile phone has a total dimension of 17.5 (thickness) x 107 (length) x 45 (width) mm and weighs approximately 138 g. Meanwhile, the body is made of stainless steel with a sliding cover.
