Technology giant Panasonic on Wednesday has introduced its first 3D camcorder for consumers who want to record birthdays, weddings, and other important occasions with a different perspective.

With this new product, the company is expecting that consumers would be exited since it will complement the growing number of 3D televisions and 3D movies in the market.  Currently, there are numerous 3D TVs but there is a scarcity of 3D content to complement such products.

Panasonic said the new 3D camcorder will come at a price of $2,000 which it claimed as cheaper compared to professional 3D camcorders available in the market today.

Technology giant Apple Inc. has recently introduced its latest desktop computer accessory called Magic Trackpad ($69) that features Bluetooth Technology for wireless connectivity and touch-sensitive panel.  According to the company, the accessory will only be compatible with Mac computers and did not say if it has plans to make this PC-friendly in the near future.

The Magic Trackpad is particularly designed to work with Mac Pro and iMac computers.

However, some people may find this accessory obsolete, particularly those who prefer using mouse or trackball over touchpad which is commonly used by laptop owners.  (Meanwhile, even some laptop owners would bring along a mouse because they find that this is more comfortable to use than the touchpad.)

According to Apple, the accessory can work up to 33 feet away from the computer and has been equipped with an energy-efficient technology that automatically turns off the device after being inactive for a certain period of time.

And because the touchpad is wireless, consumers should expect that the device would need  two AA battery to power it.  Fortunately, Apple is kind enough to introduce a $29 AA rechargeable battery, which may be another way for the company to persuade consumers to buy more of its products.

After Apple CEO Steve Jobs said that all smartphones suffer signal loss when held in a certain way, the executives of Blackberry maker Research in Motion (RIM) has released a statement criticizing its rival company for dragging their products.

“It is unacceptable that Apple is attempting to draw our company to its self-made debacle”, RIM chief executives Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis said in a statement.

Few days ago, Jobs defended his company’s newest product iPhone 4 from complaints about its signal loss by saying that all smartphones available in the market have similar reception problems.

According to some iPhone 4 users, gripping the lower left corner of the device, where the antenna is located, will result to a signal loss.

To demonstrate that other smartphones have the same signal difficulties, the Apple executive displayed a video showing that devices from RIM, Samsung, and HTC were losing signal when held in a certain way.

Apple even released an online page to demonstrate the company’s claims over the reception difficulty issue.
