Panasonic recently introduced its latest portable computer called Toughbook T8 that features technologies and designs to cater to the needs of business travellers.
This laptop features compact and lightweight design which allows users to easily carry around the device anywhere they go. With its size of 8.4 x 10.7 x 1.4 inch and weighing approximately 3.3 lbs, Toughbook T8’s dimension is in between a netbook and a widescreen laptop.
Meanwhile, the casing of this laptop is made of magnesium alloy, making this durable.
Boasting multiple control and application including integrated stylus, electrostatic touch pad with impressive response time and circular scrolling, and keyboards, people can conveniently provide their inputs.
The laptop has a 12.1-inch LCD screen display equipped with Touch Screen Technology for convenient application. The screen has also been designed with other special features such as anti-glare; image support up to 1024 x 768 XGA TFT for a full burst of colors; and external video support.
To prevent data theft and unauthorized access to sensitive files, the laptop provides multiple security features including Fingerprint Reader (optional), security password, TPM Security chip v.1.2., cable lock slot, and Computrace Theft Protection agent in BIOS.
With Intel Core Duo Processor SU9300, Toughbook T8 has a processing speed of 1.2GHz, enough capability for web-centric users and business travellers.
In terms of storage memory, the portable computer delivers 120GB hard drive and 3072MB SDRAM.
Just like most portable computers in the market today, Toughbook T8 also uses Lithium-ion battery which can last up five to nine hours of usage.
Other features are multiple connectivity including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and WWAN; complete audio system with integrated speaker, microphone, and keyboard volume control; USB 2.0; expansion slot including SDHC and PC card type II x 1; 56K modem, and mini dock box replicator.
Users can choose two operation systems for this laptop, either Genuine Windows Vista Business or Windows XP.
Toughbook T8 comes at a starting price of $2099 and provides 3-year limited warranty on its parts and labor.
