Sony, the world’s leading manufacturer of consumer electronics devices, has introduced its latest product called Paperless Paperback which is a portable device that can store hundreds of e-books.
This device is highly-ideal for people who consider themselves as voracious readers. With the capacity to store more than 160 electronics books, this will further maximize the reading experience of its users.
Featuring patented E-Link Technology, this console provides a screen which displays texts that greatly resembles the visual appearance of an ordinary leaf of a book. This technology solves the common problem experienced by most LCD screen—eye strain and eye fatigue—since the Paperless Paperback is designed to display neutral color tones which allow readers to view the texts even in direct sunlight.
The 6-inch screen on this electronic book displays and mimics the exact appearance of a leaf—background of light-gray with black ink as its texts.
This is how to use the device: simply connect the Paperless Paperback to any PC to download free or paid electronic books on the Internet. After downloading the contents, users can save the electronic text from the unit’s memory card. Meanwhile, this device can be charge with the use of any USB cable.
One of the most impressive features of this product is the built-in music player (this can support AAC and MP3 formats) which can further maximize the reading experience of people.
This device supports functions such as Adobe PDFs, Word Documents, and JPEG.s format. Meanwhile, this console requires Windows XP Operating System (OS). (But the company is considering to expand to other mainstream OS.)
Other features are 192 MB internal memory, protective cover, USB cable for charging the batteries and for data transfer, and user-friendly menu system which allows readers to adjust the text size and to regulate other text features.

I like the idea here but ultimately there are now many devices that do a similar job – I guess the Iphone is an example of what I mean – i cannot see the advantages of using this device over just getting an iphone
