PowerShot SD90 is a point-and-shoot digital camera that features 10-megapixel resolution that captures real-life pictures. But despite its high pixel, the camera has only3.8 zoom lens which is relatively lower compared to other digital cameras in the market today.
Meanwhile, this PowerShot camera has a 2.5-inch LCD which uses PureColor Technology that supports wide viewing angle. Complementing this feature is the optical zoom viewfinder that can display vivid images.
The camera offers a relatively acceptable aperture and shutter speed feature, but no quite outstanding compared to other high-end and expensive models. However, for average users, such features will be enough for their needs.
When it comes to shooting specifications, this camera boasts countless of color effects including sepia, positive film, lighter skin tone, darker skin tone, vivid red, vivid green, neutral, custom, and black and white.
In addition, SD90 IS offers a wide array of shooting modes to accommodate different lighting conditions, backgrounds, and subjects. Such modes include night snapshot, color swap, underwater, fireworks, beach, sunset, portrait, foliage, color accent, indoor, etc.
In terms of image storage feature, the camera has been designed to support SD and SDHC memory card, MMC Plus Card, Multimedia Card, and HC MMC Plus Card. And with a JPEG compression, users can store more photos (including videos) in their camera.
Just like any point-and-shoot camera, SD90 offers numerous playback modes that give different effects. These include: transition effects, histogram, sound memos, and slide show.
The camera also has several image editing tools which include red-eye correction, resize, trimming, and rotate. In addition to these, the device also has movie editing tools, though not as impressive compared to other high-end cameras.
Meanwhile, the interface of this camera includes video and audio out, memory card slot, and USB 2.0 highspeed (mini-B jack) that allows the device to directly connect to Canon SELPHY Compact Photo Printer, Pixma Photo Printer, and other printers that are compatible with PictBridge Technology.
