Samson recently unveiled its latest consumer device called Zoom H4n which is a portable digital recorder that features multimedia functions which can provide high definition audio recordings ideal for professional musicians.
One of the main highlights of this compact audio recorder is the built-in X/Y condenser microphone which can support sounds which come in 90 or 120 degrees, thus resulting to more vivid audio recordings. And because users can digitally adjust the microphone, they can regulate every minuscule detail of the sound.
Boasting advanced audio technologies, Zoom H4n features multiple recording capabilities which make this perfect for capturing sounds made by musical instruments including bass and guitars. The recorder also provides 50 bass and guitar amp settings while allowing people to adjust the speed of their recordings. With all these combined technologies, this portable recorder can provide almost the same sound effects of most studio recording rooms.
Meanwhile, Zoom H4n has also been designed to support simultaneous use of internal and external microphones thus resulting to 4-channel recordings of high definition audio.
According to Samson, the digital recorder can support up to 24bit/96kHz on SD/SDHC media with 32GB memory.
Another notable feature is the USB 2.0 which means that this audio recorder can support today’s most electronic devices. Meanwhile, the digital recorder also has a widescreen LCD display which provides highly interactive interface that will allow people to easily adjust the applications, functions, and media features.
In an interview, Samson director of marketing Mark Wilder said that Zoom H4n is very ideal for musicians who can have high professional audio recordings, adding that film makers including Oscar winner Frank Serafine has been reported to use this particular device to record his award winning film.
In terms of durability, the digital sound recorder boasts a rubberized chassis designed with shock-resistant frame. Also, the case features built-in mounting joint that will allow users to place this device from a tripod or microphone stand.
The Zoom H4n comes at a starting price of $500.
