Korean electronic company Samsung recently introduced the latest mobile phone from its Ultra Series that features multimedia technologies and entertainment specifically designed to meet the needs of mobile users.
The Tocco Ultra handset features 2.8-inch screen display that supports Touch Sensitive Technology. Because the screen has been designed to maximize the viewing experience of users, Samsung uses Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode (AMOLED) which allows the panel to display images with high contrast, vivid colors, well-detailed lines, and full high definition (HD).
Another notable feature of the slider phone is the intuitive interface including 3 x 4 inch keypad and TouchWiz Technology for quick response for touches. These interactive technologies will allow people to navigate easily through various applications including web browsing, entertainment media, and messaging features.
Because of the high-end features, Samsung declared Tocco as the flagship mobile phone for its Ultra Edition and comes at a suggested retail price of $400.
In terms of physical design, the handset is made of lacquered metal frame which has been designed to be durable. To protect the TFT screen, Samsung covered it with anti-smudge coat to prevent unsightly marks.
One of the most impressive features is the built-in camera that boasts a whopping 8-megapixel resolution which is almost as high as those found in most high-end digital compact cameras today. The built-in camera also has multiple image editing tools, settings, and technologies including Smile Shot which automatically detects and captures a smiling face of a subject and LED Flash which makes pictures come in vivid and realistic colors.
Another notable feature is the Geo-tagging Technology which allows users to put geographic information to their pictures. The Geo-tagging capability is also integrated with GPS navigation tools which allow users to locate their destination easier.
Other features are: HSDPA 7.2 Mbps for faster Internet access ideal for web-centric consumers; music entertainment features; game applications; multiple messaging features; and 30fps VGA video recording capability.
