Korean company Samsung recently unveiled its latest compact camera called WB550 that features advanced digital image technology that allows people to take high quality pictures.
One of the main highlights of the 12-megapixel compact camera is the 24mm ultra wide angle Schneider lens that allows people to capture a wider range of shots. This technology is further complemented with 10X Optical Zoom for capturing different depths.
The camera has also been designed to support high definition video recordings that will allow people to capture movie-quality pictures.
Another impressive feature of the camera is the “intelligent” technologies including Face Detection which automatically adjusts the settings, exposure, and auto focus to capture the best shot of a person’s face resulting to a dramatic portrait. Another “intelligent” technology is the Blink Detection mode that allows the camera to take three consecutive shots when it detects that the subjects’ eyes are closed. The device also has Smile mode which automatically captures the smiling face of a person.
For a clearer skin appearance, the camera also boasts Beauty Shot that automatically corrects the blemishes from the subjects’ skin.
To prevent blurry images from unsteady hands, the WB550 has a Dual Image Stabilization integrated with Optical technology that corrects the picture. This feature also allows people to take great images even in low light environments.
Because the camera provides full manual control, this is also ideal for professional photographers who want to manually change the setting according to the effects they would like to produce.
One of the most impressive modes is the Frame Guide that allows a person to outline the shot he/she wants to take. This is how it works: set the mode and then take a picture which will be saved from the template to serve as a guide, after this, pass the camera to someone and then the template will guide him/her to take the exact shot the user has envisioned.
The camera also provides Smart Album that allows users to organize the images and categorize these to make it easy for them to search through their files.
