Sanyo, one of the leading manufacturers of consumer electronic devices, has recently introduced its latest product called NV-M70 ALBO Digital Photo Frame which provides a new way for people to display their pictures.
With its strange looking design which looks nothing like the usual square-type photo frames, the Sanyo ALBO looks like the 70’s television set minus the bulky wood framing on its side. Meanwhile, the retro yet futuristic design of the LCD of the NV-M70 makes this device an ideal decorative object for home and office.
In terms of image quality, the device provides a focal point of 7-inch LCD TFT display which offers consumers with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution quality. Although low in internal memory—with only 256MB of storage—the new digital photo frame can at least provide 6:9 native aspect ratio. However, people can expand the frame’s memory with storage card device to further increase its memory capacity.
Meanwhile, consumers can also adjust the viewing angle to 140 degrees horizontal and up 120 degrees in vertical directions.
The LCD has also been designed to support various file formats such as BMP and JPEG image format. Another notable feature is its retrofitted stereo speakers which allow people to listening to their MP3s while viewing the slide show.
One of the most impressive features is the Wi-Fi connectivity option which makes this device perfect for quick and easy photo sharing. Another advantage of this technology is that it allows people to conveniently access various websites for sharing their photos. Another connectivity option is through mobile phones or laptops.
This device also allows people to send photos with the use of Digital Frame’s built-in Infrared port. Meanwhile, if consumers wish for a classic way of transferring of digital photo files, they can always use the memory card reader which is compatible to any standard size storage card device.
The Sanyo NV-M70 ALBO Digital Photo Frame will be available this December and comes at a starting price of $423.

I like the design though the price immediately puts me off when you can get a digital photo frame for a fraction of the price – where is the extra cash going? Surely not just on this wacky design?
