Japanese electronic giant Sanyo has released the new camera models in Xacti HD series, including the DMX-HD2000 which is compact video camcorder designed to support high definition images.
The HD camcorder features a high-speed image processing to record more than two times the amount of files other processors can support.
One major highlight of this camera is the reliability. Designed to support up to 135 minutes of continuous video recording and with a long battery life, people can use the device for a longer period of time compared to other camcorders.
The camera has been designed to support high speed video with 240 fps/600 fps format. Meanwhile, it can also support slow-motion playback capability, with one-fourth of the speed in 448 x 336 resolutions and one-tenth in 192 x 108 resolutions.
Apart from HD video capacity, the camera can also support still photos which come in 8-megapixel, but users can also capture 12-megapixel images made possible by the Real-time Interpolation Technology.
One of the most notable features of the HD camera is the “Reverse Sequential Shot” which allows users to capture multiple photos in one single shot. This is how the function works: after pressing the button for few seconds, the camera will automatically take sequential photos.
The “Reverse Sequential Shot” can shoot six photos per second in 8-megapixel form while 12 images per second in 4-megapixel form.
This impressive feature is ideal for fast moving scenes like sports because users will have more pictures to allow them to choose the best one.
The DMX-HD2000 also features a whopping 16X Zoom Technology which allows users to enlarge still photos they would like to capture. This feature can also be applied while recording video footages.
To allow people to play and manage images and videos, the HD camera can support Xacti Library program.
Sanyo said on its website that DMX-HD2000 will be released on February 6 but did not provide its exact pricing.
