Technology giant Sanyo has recently introduced the world’s thinnest camera called VPC-CS1 (Xacti series) that features image technologies including a full high-definition video support and 1920 x 1080 resolution that support pictures which come in vivid colors and well-detailed lines.
This newest model from Xactie series boasts a highly compact and lightweight design (about 1142 g) because it uses the latest technology developed by the company which include a slim sensor module and lens.
The VPC-CS1 can support MPEG-4 AVC / H.264 video format which is supported by Windows OS and Windows 7. In addition, this format is easy to use in most computers and online.
To make this video camera user-friendly, it displays the video files in a thumbnail format (just like a still photo) so the users can easily find a certain file. And when it comes to video editing, this gadget is compatible with Windows Live Movie Maker 5; on the other hand, the videos can be played by using Windows Media Player.
To complement the full high-definition video, the VPC-CS1 boasts a sound system that produces a rich and vivid audio feedback. This is made possible through the three microphone modes that can record clear sounds.
When it comes to “intelligent” technologies, the video camera uses the Digital Image Stabilizer 7 that reduces camera shake caused by unsteady hands. Another notable technology is the Face Chaser Function which allows the lens to optimize and focus on the subject’s face.
The portable device also has a feature called Eye-Fi that allows users to automatically upload pictures to a computer. And in addition to this, the video camera has a mini HDMI terminal for viewing pictures on televisions.
Aside from supporting videos, the VPC-CS1 also supports still photos (8-megapixel resolutions). And to allow users to capture photos which come in high-quality, the gadget boasts 10x Digital Zoom, Sequential Shot Technology for capturing several pictures in a single click, and 38-mm wide angle lens.
The device is also compatible with recording media designed to store large data such as the SDXC memory card.
