Apple Inc., one of the world’s leading manufacturers of consumer electronics and software products, has introduced a product called iPhone, which features three previous technologies that was used by mobile phone, widescreen iPod, and internet communication.
The iPhone features a touchscreen interface that works with multitouch facilities which allows users to make use of their fingers all at the same time. Using the Macintoch Operating system called OS X, this electronics device is one of the latest innovations that has converged many kinds of technology.

Nike now targetting iPhone/iTouch

For those who still don’t know about Nike’s and iPods fusion of sports, health and music. The Nike+iPod Sports Kit is a device which measures and records the distance and pace of a walk or run.
The Nike+iPod consists of a small accelerometer attached to or embedded in a shoe, which communicates with a receiver plugged into an iPod nano. iTunes software can be used to view the walk or run history.
The kit was revealed on May 23, 2006 but for a short time was unavailable for purchase. The kit is able to store information such as the elapsed time of the workout, the distance traveled, pace, or calories burned by the individual wearing the shoes, and display it on the screen or broadcast it through the headphones of an iPod.

Using the accelerometer for directions and just tapping on the screen for shooting makes this a very simple and immersive way to play this game.

Technology keeps moving along at an ever increasing speed, the latest cutting-edge gadgets would have seemed like science fiction impossibilities just a few years ago. Back in 1954 a gadget enthusiast would have had to have saved very hard to be able to afford the Regency TR1 the very latest in ‘transistor’ technology that actually allowed you to carry a radio around in your own pocket for just $50.
But things move on, and 25 years later, in 1979 Sony introduced the ‘ultimate in mobile music’ the Walkman. But this was a full two years after ordinary householders entered the world of NASA technology, with the Atari 2600 Video computer system. This gave us not only Space Invaders, but also the cutting edge graphics of Pac Man.
It has been twelve years since the introduction of the PalmPilot 1000, the must have gadget of 1996 that was the last word in ‘personal data assistants’.
