Handset manufacturer Sony Ericsson recently unveiled its latest mobile phone from Walkman series that provides advanced music and sound technology.
The new W995 Walkman phone features advanced audio technologies to meet the needs of music lovers including stereo speakers, adjustable bass level, album art for easy categorizing of each music file, shake control which allows users to change songs without the need to press any button, and TrackID which automatically provides all the details of a certain song including its album, artists, and title. Meanwhile the Walkman phone can support MP3 and ACC audio formats.
Another impressive feature of W995 is the built-in 8.1 megapixel camera that features the same technology found in all Sony Cyber-shot camera models, allowing users to capture great images with the use of their mobile phones. These are the features of the built-in camera: 16x Digital Zoom Technology for capturing different depth and angle; Image stabilization which prevents blurry images cause by unstable hands or fast-moving objects; picture blogging capability which allows users to directly post images to photo sharing sites on the Internet; video recording support; Face Detection Technology which highlights the faces of each subject for a more dramatic portrait shot; Auto-focus for clear and sharp images; and Sony’s PictBridge which allows users to directly print their photos to compatible printers without the need a computer.
To help people travel easier, the mobile phone also supports GPS and navigation tools via Google Maps which can provide people with up-to-date traffic information and road directions that will make traveling easier and more convenient. With this technology, the W995 is also ideal not just for music lovers but also for business travelers and tourists.
The phone also supports Wi-Fi Technology for fast and reliable Internet connection. The web-based feature also allows users to watch contents from popular video sharing website YouTube and send/receive messages from their email accounts.
Other features are 2.6-inch screen display, 3.5mm headset jack, USB mass storage, FM station, PC syncing, Instant messaging, Memory stick card slot (which can support up to 8GB), and 118MB internal memory.
