Sony VPL-HW15 is a projector that features full HD 1080 resolution and BRAVIA Engine 2 which is a digital video processor for supporting vivid and well-detailed images. With such technologies, this device is ideal for professional demonstration, presentation, and conference.
To make the images appear life-like, the projector has up to 60,000:1 contrast ratio that can optimize the dark and bright areas; Panel Alignment Technology for arranging the pixels to reduce color gaps; and 10-bit processor that makes the color gradation appear smooth.
Another notable feature is the noise reduction functions which allow the projector to identify and remove noise (such as mosquito and block noise) without affecting the quality of the sound. With such feature, the full HD videos will be complemented with crisp and clear sounds.
When it comes to compatibility, the VPL-HW15 has been designed to support other Sony products including camcorders and cameras. And to make the images from such devices appear natural, the projector can display more viewable colors than RGB standard which is complemented with Real Color Processing, a function that allows adjustment of a specific color without affecting the overall color and hue of the images.
In addition, the professional device has a feature called Adjustable Lens Shift that allows users to display images in either vertical or horizontal position without affecting the quality of the video.
Meanwhile, the projector boasts several analog inputs such as S-Video, PC input (D-sub 15-pin), Composite video, and YPbPr for easy connection to various video sources.
To enjoy films which come in 24 frames-per-second, the VPL-HW15 has 24p True Cinema Technology. This feature is then complemented with a 200W Ultra High Pressure Lamp that delivers enough brightness and natural color.
Another remarkable feature is the 1.6x Zoom Lens which can support short focus distance that will result to better resolution and image details.
Meanwhile, the projector has two HDMI inputs which can deliver uncompressed digital videos from a cable.

Sony is keeping just a step or two in front of everybody else. I think they might lose some sales in the less expensive markets though. Beautiful products
