Vexia recently introduced the world’s first navigator device that supports environment-friendly technologies that will allow the car engine to save up to 30 percent of its fuel consumption while effectively reducing its harmful emissions.
The Econav features an on-board computer that will display the fuel consumption of the vehicle. The computer will also provide instructions on the drivers on how to maximize the fuel-efficiency by following the right speed. Meanwhile, the system also provides visual and audio warning that will tell drivers the most appropriate time to change gear, allowing the car to consume the least amount of fuel and to emit less carbon monoxide and other harmful emissions.
The navigator provides three levels of sensitivity—each of these will depend on how much fuel a person wants to save.
Meanwhile, here are the other indicators provided by the computer: excess speed indicator, optimum speed indicator, maximum road speed, and warning distance.
In terms of GPS and other advanced navigation tools, the Econav supports 3D Mobile Map and 2D Minimap that will provide accurate road details for travelers that will make it easier for them to locate their destination. One disadvantage is that these maps do not cover other places except from UK and some parts of Europe.
This is how to use the device: go to the main menu and choose the configuration of the vehicle. After this, press the “Vehicle Selection” to choose the car model the person is driving. In case that the car model is not available in the database, drivers should select the button “Defined by User” and then manually configure the vehicle’s characteristics. After doing all of these, drivers can now enjoy GPS and environment-friendly technologies that will revolutionize the whole concept of driving.
Other features are: 3.5-inch touch-sensitive screen display which can support images up to 320 x 240 resolutions, 2GB main flash memory, 400 Mhz Dual Core processor, rechargeable Li-ion battery which can be recharged up to five hours, audio speaker, and 3.5mm Jack for audio output.
