Western Digital has recently introduced its latest home entertainment device called WD TV which is a HD media player that can support multiple devices including camcorders, digital cameras, music player, etc.
This media player has been designed to support My Passport portable drive that allows people to watch high definition movies, play digital images, and play music.
One major highlight is the user-friendly navigation. The media player will arrange all the digital files and present these in thumbnail or list views for easy searching navigation. There is also a Media Library program which allows users to categorize each file in genre, music type, album, and artist.
With this media player, users can also manage their photos. The WD TV allows people to create slideshows and choose multiple transitions and effects. Meanwhile, this device also has a zoom and pan capability.
The WD TV can also support high definition videos while providing features such as zoom, pan, fast forward, rewind, and pause capabilities. With all these features, the media player can maximize the watching experience of viewers.
Apart from these media functions, the device has also music capability which provides multiple features such as shuffle, repeat, playback, rewind, and pause.
Another impressive feature is the HDMI port which connects the device to high definition televisions. And to make sure that his media player can also support virtually all television models, it features composite video connection.
Featuring two USB ports, the users can access their digital files and contents from their USB-enabled devices such as camcorders, digital cameras, and music players.
The WD TV also includes a special software called Arcsoft MediaConverter 2.5 that converts digital formats which can be recognized by the media player.
